My name is Destinie Janea Carbone and am a trained illustrator and graphic designer. I attended Cab Calloway School of the arts for High School in Delaware and majored in the Visual arts. After graduating, I moved on to attend the Delaware College of Art and Design where I received my AFA in Illustration and in Mary 2009 I received my Bachelor's of Science from Towson University with the persuasion in digital illustration. My hobbies include: writing, art, web design, films and literature, and playing board games. I am interested in telling all sorts of stories visually. I pursued Illustration in hopes that I would be able to do just that. For a career, I have hoped to pursue illustration or be able to work as a graphic designer, and do graphic novels on the side. I am currently working on a one-shot entitled "Death by Mozart" which I plan to introduce later this year.
I would describe my work as fantastic and charming. I have many stories in mind so I tend to focus on telling stories visually through a painting or character. Though I mainly work digitally for my cartoons and comcis, I have been focusing on mainly watercolor paintings as of late.My Web design history
I've been doing web design since late 1990's (I'd like to say around 1998). My first website was a Beanie Baby Website (To see a screen cap to show how far I've come, click here) Needless to say that I've really advanced since then. I was really excited to purchase this domain two years ago in May of 2006. I recently redesigned it to be easier to navigate and to be more fun to view. When I do my designs, I generally do all coding in notepad by hand and my designs are done in Photoshop or Illustrator. I like doing my codes in notepad because Dreamweaver has a horrible way of overwriting what I write and it drives me absolutely bonkers.
That's a little about me, if you have any more questions feel free to either view my resume or contact me personally.
